词源 | yapp. A book binding featuring a cover with soft edges that project beyond and fold over the edges of the pages to protect them. Invented by London bookseller William Yapp about 1880 for Bibles and prayer books, it also goes by the terms circuit binding, divinity circuit binding, and yapp binding. Yapp has lost its capital over the years. |
