词源	claret. Though it hasn’t been heard much since the 1930s, when radio fight announcers popularized it, claret is one of the oldest boxing terms. Used to describe the blood drawn in a boxing match, it is named after red claret wine; the term is re- corded in the description of a boxing match held in 1604.
