The Great Ghostwriter’s Ghostwriter. Probably there are a few ghostwriters who have themselves hired ghostwriters, but I know of only one: sportswriter Tom Meany. When he was a ghostwriter for Christy Walsh, Babe Ruth’s business manager, during the 1936 World Series, Meany was so busy with other assignments that he had to hire a ghost to ghost for himself. “The only ghostwriter I ever employed,” Walsh later wrote (or had still another ghostwriter write) “had a ghostwriter of his own.” |
