| 词源 | bullfight. Ernest Hemingway commented on this term in The Sun Also Rises (1926): “He [the matador] was very bashful about his English . . . Bull-fight he was suspicious of. I explained that bull-fight in Spanish was the lidia [fighting] of a toro . . . There is no Spanish word for bull-fight.” In English bullfight dates back to about 1745. See aficionado. |
