| 词源 | botanomancy. Botanomancy is divination by leaves. The most popular method was to write sentences on leaves as possi- ble answers to a question. The leaves were then left outside ex- posed to the wind, and those that weren’t blown away were supposed to compose the answer. The practice and word date back to at least the early 17th century. Botanomancy’s earliest renowned practitioner was the Cumaean Sibyl. |
