词源 | moonshine wars. A name for the hostilities between moon- shiners and federal Prohibition agents during the Prohibition era, from 1920 to 1933. Hundreds of agents and moonshiners were killed in those “wars” throughout the United States and just one small group of agents is said to have destroyed a still every day for a year. |
