Bigfoot. A huge, hairy, humanoid creature said to inhabit the Pacific Northwest forests, so named because of the size of its al- leged footprints, said to be 16 to 17 inches long and 7 inches wide. This abominable snowman of the California mountains is also called Sasquatch, a name recorded in 1925, some 35 years before the name Bigfoot. |
