词汇 | jim-kay |
词源 | jim-kay. An historical term meaning to stuff with food to a dangerous point. According to one story, a family kept a pet pig that they named James K. Polk, after the U.S. president, and fed James (or Jim) K. so much that he burst apart. Thus the presi- dent’s name became the basis for this odd addition to America’s political lexicon. |
