词源	cheroot. Originally only a thick stubby cigar with open unta- pered ends, cheroot has also come to mean any small cigar. It is one of the few words English has taken from the Indian and Ceylon Tamil language, deriving from the Tamil curuttu, roll (of tobacco leaf).
