词源	hygiene. Hygiene derives from the name of Hygeia, the Greek goddess of health, who was the daughter of Aesculapius, the god of medicine. Legend has it that Aesculapius once appeared in Rome during a plague in the form of a serpent; thus Hygeia’s symbol is a serpent drinking from a cup in her hand.
