词源	Dorothy Perkins’s rose. Ranking with Peace and Crimson Glory as the best known of American roses, the Dorothy Per- kins is a pink rambler introduced by the famous Jackson & Per- kins Nursery of Newark, New York, in 1901. It is a small, cluster-flowering type, and though ramblers have bowed in popularity to larger-flowered varieties, it remains a sentimental favorite much mentioned in literature. The rose was named for the wife of the firm’s co-owner.
