词源 | qui-hy. The Hindi Koi hai, meaning “is anyone there?,” is a cry used in India to summon a servant. These words, in the form of qui-hy, were used by the British when they occupied India to mean an Anglo-Indian, especially one living in Bengal. It also had some British military use in the sense of a summons to a servant. |
