A good number of American cities have the nickname “Queen City,” These include: Queen City of the Hills (Houston, Texas); Queen City of the Mountains (Helena, Mon- tana, also called Queen City of Montana); Queen City of the Plains (Denver, Colorado); Queen City of the Rio Grande (Al- buquerque, New Mexico); and Queen City of the West (Cincin- nati, Ohio, from a time when Cincinnati was considered far west.)
