| 词源 | Peeps. The name of those yellow marshmallow chicks that are almost always found in childrens’ Easter baskets. Originally made by the Rodda Candy Co., they have since 1954 been the property of Just Born, Inc., in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Some 1.5 billion of them are produced every year, each thickly coated with sugar and costing the consumer 32 calories. Recently they are being made in other colors and shapes besides yellow chicks. |
