词源	the Eisner. Comic-book artist Will Eisner (1917–2005), au- thor of what is widely regarded as the first modern graphic novel (A Contract with God), has the annual Eisner award named in his honor. Eisner coined the term graphic novel in 1978. Eis- ner spritz, a “moody rain,” also honors him.
