词源 | cadre. Cadre are trained or key men, generally in the mili- tary, who instruct and supervise untrained troops. Thought to be the “skeleton” or foundation of an outfit, they appropriately take their name from the French cadre, “frame.” The word didn’t come into English until the mid-19th century. |
