| 词源 | squelching. A slang synonym for sexual intercourse that probably derives from the statement by English punk group singer Johnny Rotten (John Lydon, b. 1957) that “Love is two minutes fifty-two seconds of squishing (or squelching) noises.” The words may originally have been heard in New Musical Ex- press (1978), but aren’t used much anymore. Later Mr. Rotten changed the squelching definition to five minutes because he’d “mastered a new technique.” |
