Newsweek (November 10, 2003) says presiden- tial hopeful Howard Dean proclaims during his campaign that he’s a metrosexual, “a word used to describe a straight man in touch with his feminine side.” I can’t find metrosexual recorded anywhere else, though the metro in the word may suggest the relative sophistication of men living in metropolitan areas.
