词源 | method in one’s madness. Used to describe someone who acts crazy or erratic in order to further his aims, the old expres- sion seems to have originated with Shakespeare. At least its ear- liest ancestor is first recorded by the Bard in Hamlet: “Though this be madness, yet there is method in it.” |
