| 词源 | Belmont Stakes. Part of horse racing’s Triple Crown, which was named for Belmont Park on New York’s Long Island. Bel- mont Park, in turn, was named for millionaire August Belmont. The other races of the Triple Crown are the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness. All are for three-year-old thoroughbreds. See kentucky derby. |
