| 词源 | rabage. This unfortunate vegetable is quite real but won’t be found in any gardening books or seed catalogs. The rabage (Raphanobrassica) is a cross between a radish and a cabbage developed by a Soviet geneticist named Alexi Karpenchinko in 1924. What was expected was a plump head of cabbage on an edible round root of radish. Sadly, what developed was a head of scraggly radish leaves and the thin, useless roots of a cab- bage. See radish. |
