词源	axel. In figure skating an axel is a graceful jump consisting of one-and-a-half turns in the air, among other qualifications. Having nothing to do with the axle of a wheel, it is named for its inventor, Norwegian skater Axel Paulsen, who perfected it in the late 19th century. It is the only figure-skating jump to take off from a forward position.
