词源	deadman’s vine. Deadman’s vine, also called ayahuasco, was used by Columbian Indians in religious rituals. A sip of the brew they made from this vine sends one into a deathlike coma. The woody vine is scientifically named Banisteriopsis caapi and today its bark is the source of the hallucinogenic alkaloid harmine.
