词源	Who he? Writers often find these traditional words scribbled on manuscript pages next to names unknown to their editors. The first editor to do this seems to have been Harold Ross of The New Yorker. On one of Robert Benchley’s manuscripts Ross, who had a “profound ignorance,” according to Dorothy Parker, wrote “Who he?” in the margin opposite a rather ob- scure name. Benchley wrote below: “You keep out of this.”
