| 词源 | Kentucky. The Blue Grass State was admitted to the Union in 1792 as our 15th state, formerly having been Kentucky County, Virginia. It takes its name from the Iroquois Kentake, “mead- owland.” Historically Kentucky was called “the dark and bloody ground” because it was an Indian no-man’s-land used by several tribes as a burial and hunting ground. |
