| 词源 | amaretti. A lovesick baker daydreamed so long about his lady while baking a special kind of almond cookie for her that he left the cookie in the oven too long and the light, dry amaretti cookie resulted. Such is the legend, that the delicious cookies, often served with wine, take their name from the Italian amoretti, “little loves.” Actually, they take this name from ama- re, “bitter,” because they are made from bitter almonds. Ama- retto liqueur comes from the same source. |
