| 词源 | Presa Canario. A large breed of dog, up to 150 pounds, said to be trained to track and kill pit bull dogs. This breed was largely unheard of until, in 2002, the California owner of a Pre- sa Canario was convicted on counts of second-degree murder and involuntary manslaughter when her dog got loose from its leash and killed a neighbor in her apartment house hallway. There are only a handful of such murder convictions in U.S. le- gal history. |
