词源	lovey-dovey. Lovey-dovey is often cited as an Americanism, but it is recorded first in England in 1769 as a term of affection: “The domestic Lovies and Dovies.” By 1819 we find recorded: “My dearest love—lovey, dovey!” Dovey, of course, stands for “little dove.”
