词汇 | hiney |
词源 | hiney; Heinie. Hiney is a name, deriving from hindparts, that is often but not always used when speaking to a child, as a term for the buttocks, backside, or ass. Sometimes spelled hein- ie, it should not be confused with Heinie, the name for a Ger- man soldier since World War I that derives from the common German name Heinrich. In 1904 Heinie is also recorded in the U.S. for any German, making it an Americanism. Other derog- atory names for German soldiers, and sometimes Germans in general, are Jerry, Boche, Sauerkraut, and Kraut. |
