Joe Hill was executed by a firing squad in Utah for a grocery store stickup and killing, a crime his supporters claimed he was framed for. His last words were to labor legend Big Bill Hayward and the full quote was “I will die like a true-blue rebel. Don’t waste any time in mourning. Organize!” |
