词源	heroin. Formerly a trade name, heroin was discovered around 1897 by Professor Paul Dresser, chief of the research department of Germany’s Elberfeld Farben Fabriken. It was named from the Greek heros, “hero,” apparently “because of the inflation of the personality consequent on taking the drug,” because it made a user feel like a hero, for a short while.
