词源 | gul-gul. Admiral W. H. Smyth, in The Sailor’s Lexicon (2005), calls this a kind of cement made of pounded seashells mixed with oil, which hardens like stone, and is put over a ship’s bot- tom in India, so that shipworms cannot penetrate even when the copper is off. |
