| 词源 | Ex-Lax. Possibly the best-known laxative on the American market, Ex-Lax was originally called “Bo-Bo” (short for bon- bon) by its Hungarian inventor, who introduced it in New York in 1905 and so named it after its chocolate composition and fla- vor (though some would never agree that it tastes like bon- bons). No one is sure why its name was changed to Ex-Lax, but ex does mean “excellent” and lax does suggest “laxative”—ex- cellent laxative. |
