词源	mentor. Mentor, in Greek mythology, was the friend of Od- ysseus and took charge of his household when the hero of Homer’s Odyssey went off to war. When problems arose Pallas Athene descended from heaven to inhabit Mentor’s body and, through him, to give good advice to Odysseus’s son Telema- chus. Mentor has since meant an adviser, teacher, or coach.
