词源	dragon’s blood. A colorful name given to the red resinous exhudation of certain palm trees that was once used as an as- tringent in medicines and is now employed as a coloring for varnishes. A cheap Rhine wine is also called dragon’s blood, taking its name from the German myth about Siegfried bath- ing in the blood of a dragon to make himself immune from injury.
