词源	Doulton. Like Wedgwood, Doulton is one of the most hon- ored names in art pottery. Invented some time after 1815 by John Doulton, who was influenced by Italian pottery tech- niques, Doulton is still manufactured today. After John Doul- ton died, the pottery was made by his descendants, especially Sir Henry Doulton (1820–97). Sir Henry, who first produced stoneware drainpipes, apparently named the decorative pottery after himself. See ode on a grecian urn.
