right-o; everything’s all tiggerty-boo. The American OK (qv) has found favor among the British, as it has almost every- where, but right-o is still heard along with its forms righty-o and right-ho. So is tiggerty-boo, especially in the above expres- sion. The tiggerty here (sometimes pronounced tickerty) is said to be from the Hindustani tuga, the expression introduced to Britain by Lord Mountbatten. |
