词汇 | keynesian |
词源 | Keynesian. Keynesian economic theory advocates govern- ment monetary and fiscal programs designed to increase em- ployment and stimulate business activity. The word comes from the name of British economist John Maynard Keynes (1883– 1946), whose full employment theory was set forth in his Trea- tise On Money and his The General Theory of Employment, Interest and Money. Keynes’s work revolutionized economic thinking and made him one of the leading economists of his time. He also belonged to London’s intellectual bloomsbury group, which included Virginia Woolf and E.
