词源	quince. Quince may come from the Greek kydonion (“mel- on”), named for Cydonia in Crete. Kydonion became cydoneum in Latin, this becoming coin in Old French, then quoyne in Middle English, with quince deriving from the plural of the Middle English quoyne, which is quine.
