词汇 | gillie suit |
词源 | gillie suit. A camouflage uniform made by attaching dry grass and other vegetation to one’s clothing, allowing a soldier or a hunter to blend in with the environment. Sometimes used by snipers today, gillie suits were first worn by Scottish shep- herds to surprise thieves stealing from their flocks.
