arabesque (n.)

1786年，“摩尔式或阿拉伯式装饰设计”，源自法语 arabesque（16世纪），来自意大利语 arabesco，源自 Arabo “阿拉伯”（见 Arab），指摩尔式建筑。指钢琴音乐中的装饰主题或段落，最早见于1853年，最初是罗伯特·舒曼（Robert Schumann）于1839年给他的一首钢琴曲命名的（“C 大调阿拉贝斯克”）。作为芭蕾舞姿势，最早见于1830年。
