词源 | to bowl. In some U.S. prisons no talking is allowed after lights out. Prisoners have been known to circumvent this rule by flushing the toilets in their cells until they are dry and can be used as “telephones.” When they talk into the empty bowl their voices can be heard clearly in the next cell.
