词源 | cauliflower. Cultivated for some 2,000 years, cauliflower takes its name from the Latin caulis, “cabbage,” and floris, “flower.” Its delicate flavor led Mark Twain to call it “cabbage with a college education.” It is a relative youngster, however, when compared with cabbage, which has been grown for more than 4,000 years.
