“Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds.” The famous Beatles song isn’t about LSD, despite the LSD initials running down the original record cover. John Lennon’s son had drawn a picture of what he called “Lucy in the sky with diamonds,” which inspired his father to write the song and use the title. The cover was just coincidence. The initials usually stand for lysergic acid diethyl- amide 25, or acid, as it is called, a potent hallucinogen. |
