词源 | goolies. Though rarely heard in America today, goolies is fairly common British slang for the testicles. First recorded in 1929, it derives from Hindi goli, “ball,” “bullet,” and origi- nally came from Sanskrit. Gershon Legman wrote in No Laughing Matter (1969): “Well, pop it again—you’ve got me by the goolies!” |
