| 词源 | God’s seal pup. Jesus Christ is called not the “lamb of God,” but “God’s seal pup” in the Eskimo Bible. These are the same doe-eyed harp seal pups that human seal hunters savagely club to death off the coast of Newfoundland so that they can be turned into sealskin coats. The little white seal pups can do nothing to defend themselves against the spiked clubs, and their mothers look on helplessly. Often the pups are skinned before they are dead. |
