词源 | glasnost; perestroika. Glasnost was the official policy of the former Soviet Union, calling for openness regarding the publi- cation of news, freedom of speech, economic problems, food shortages, etc. It is a Russian word strictly meaning public in- formation, publicity, dating back to the 18th century, but came to be associated with the policies of Soviet leader Mikhail Gor- bachev in the mid-1980s. Perestroika was the organizational restructuring of the Soviet economy and bureaucracy, also be- ginning in the mid-1980s and associated with Gorbachev. To- day the Russian word is used to describe any economic and bureaucracy restructuring anywhere. |
