词源	n.g.; n.n. The expression n.g. has been an abbreviation for “no good” since at least 1839 in America, and it meant “no go,” “completely unacceptable,” some five years before this. The term n.n. is a British one dating back to the beginning of this century and means “a necessary nuisance,” especially a husband.
