词源 | miz. In the U.S. South, Miz, meaning “Mrs.,” has long been a title of respect for a married woman. In Britain, however, miz means depressed, down, a shortening of miserable. A British detective novel might well be titled The Case of the Miz. Ms., for ms. is also commonly used there. |
