词源	Father’s Day. Father’s Day isn’t recorded in print until 1943, 35 years after mother’s day. Celebrated on the third Sunday in June, it was the idea of Mrs. John Bruce Dodd of Spokane, Washington. The day was proclaimed by the governor of Wash- ington in 1910 but wasn’t widely observed until about 1935.
